On the left side of 'my wall' I have it set so 6 friends (out of all of them)picutres show. Are the 6 that show just part of a random loop or does it mean something else...like they were the last people to look at my profile?

I have to say I've only been on Facebook briefly as a social network but more and more people are telling me about it's usefulness in business too.

Looks like it's time to include this in our marketing strategy!

Well, it is a SOCIAL network, so the whole idea of limiting it to a clique would make no sense. Besides, just as is the case in the real world, you can choose who you surround yourself with (as in, make a friend on Facebook). And if you don't like them, just remove them from your friend list.

I don't believe the applications are that great. Yes, the site is much cleaner than MySpace. To me, MySpace is the ugliest design for a website and allowing amatures with no visual sense to customize it is totally appalling.

As for Facebook, since they opened it up to everyone, the whole networking aspect of it lost all meaning. When I first signed up two years ago, it was limited between friends from University and work. (They checked your email and your affiliations!) Now, you have children joining facebook and anyone making an account. Too many fake ones out there. I am not really impressed with Facebook and wondering why all the hype. It is just a cleaner social network. Well, sometimes I feel it is a dating network with guys randomly adding me expecting me to add a person from the other side of the planet to look at my pictures.

The only thing good I found about Facebook is that you can find friends or people who you have known years ago on it. People using their first and last names is a lot better search wise.
