The $60 Hotel

You get what you pay for.

This old adage is and always will be true. And one thing that proves it is the hotel I am sitting in right now. I am sitting in the Quality Inn over in Kissimmee, FL. My wife is over here to take a test for her engineering career and I came over to stay with the baby in the room. She booked this place and, yes, it was $60/night.

It is fine for our purposes, but so far I have observed the following:

  1. Some hairs in my bed.
  2. A cigaratte burn in my sheets.
  3. The remote control does not work for the TV.
  4. The wifi access is questionable. On and off. Frustrating as hell.
  5. Door barely closes all the way. You have to almost ram your body into it.
  6. A blood stain on one of the towels. Yeah, lovely.
  7. The coffee maker had some gunk to clean out before I dare use it.
  8. The frickin’ table I am using on this laptop on right now has uneven legs and moves every time I touch it. Actually caused me to almost spill my cheap-ass coffee on my expensive MacBook Pro.

Yep, you certainly do get what you pay for.
