The $60 Hotel
You get what you pay for.
This old adage is and always will be true. And one thing that proves it is the hotel I am sitting in right now. I am sitting in the Quality Inn over in Kissimmee, FL. My wife is over here to take a test for her engineering career and I came over to stay with the baby in the room. She booked this place and, yes, it was $60/night.
It is fine for our purposes, but so far I have observed the following:
- Some hairs in my bed.
- A cigaratte burn in my sheets.
- The remote control does not work for the TV.
- The wifi access is questionable. On and off. Frustrating as hell.
- Door barely closes all the way. You have to almost ram your body into it.
- A blood stain on one of the towels. Yeah, lovely.
- The coffee maker had some gunk to clean out before I dare use it.
- The frickin’ table I am using on this laptop on right now has uneven legs and moves every time I touch it. Actually caused me to almost spill my cheap-ass coffee on my expensive MacBook Pro.
Yep, you certainly do get what you pay for.
