What The Entire World Can Learn From Internet Business People

earth

One of the absolute best things about working with people in the field of Internet business is that we, as a group, are success-minded people. There are some things I notice when I follow or meet in person with people in Internet business:

  1. They enjoy life.
  2. They don’t sit there and watch the news very much.
  3. They don’t have a defeatist attitude about life.
  4. They’re not worried (too much) about the economy. And, trust me, it isn’t because we’re all loaded. It is because we understand, perhaps more than most, just how much our own personal wealth is in OUR hands. Read my post about why the nine to five job isn’t really that secure.
  5. We’re not waiting for the government to bail us out.

I could go on. And I’m certainly not saying that only people in internet business have this mindset, or that all people in this business do. I’m simply making an observation among my own circle.

When I look at the news, I see doom and gloom everywhere. It isn’t necessarily because it is everywhere, but because the news amplifies it and creates chaos so they can profit from it. I see more and more people looking to the federal government as their sugar daddy. People vote based on who will give them the most stuff. Now we have companies who, instead of making sound business decisions, are now groveling at the trough of Washington for bailout cash. This is OUR CASH!! These businesses SHOULD DIE. Bailout cash isn’t going to solve anything. Just as natural selection phases out the non-successful species, the same works in the business world.

The dichotomy is stark. On one hand, the news is full of these people groveling about how bad everything is. Begging for handouts. Blaming everybody but themselves. And, in my circle, are people who are self-dependent and have a forward-leaning attitude toward life.

It all reminds me of the book Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. In this book, the society has moved to a point where you have the producers and then you have the people who justify, in the name of public good, the taking of the wealth from the producers to transfer it to society. In this book, the producers, slowly, start disappearing and they create an alternative society somewhere else. The remainder of society collapses because the forward-leaning people left.

Anybody familiar with this book, is it just me? Am I the only one seeing the parallels here?

I am proud to mingle with forward-leaning, success-minded people. I believe one of the best things you can do for your own success is to have dealings with these kinds of people. And part of that is to phase out the news because, trust me, it isn’t helping anything.

Dude that is one of my all time favorite books and I completely see that in our society right now. In the book the people who are most interested in the wealth being spread around, never had any to spread themselves. Interesting the glaring similarities as to what’s happening in our country right now.

Oh and fyi out of 100 millionaires that were surveyed, next to the bible 80% said it was the most influential book they had ever read. That made me go get it and read it.

It’s absolutely an amazing investment in your time, business and character if you’re looking for long term big success to read it.

Great post!

Oh I so agree with you: The news media are exascerbating this crisis and milking it for all it’s worth. Businesses have latched on to the handout idea and are sitting in the backyards of Washington and Whitehall, begging bowl in hand: After all why not; if they can get a fee handout it’ll swell their coffers even further. (The greedy bas—ds!)

Power to the successful people; down with the scroungers, death to the news media. Sharron is revolting. - She’s not that bad.

The nine-to-five J_O_B: Keeps the employee at least a week away from bankruptcy.

The world these days thrives on the negative, amplifies it, lives it: Let them worry themselves to death, and in the meantime let’s stay successful and make some positive effects!

Perfect article about what is going on in this world. Income redistribution, share the wealth…whatever you want to call it.

The wrong segment of our society is electing our leaders now. A complete shift. There is a cure but it will never happen. To vote, you shouldn’t have to show id, just show a paystub. My personal feeling is that if you have never paid income taxes you should not be eligible to vote.

It’s disturbing that the true power today is in the hands of those who have never filed a 1040.
