  • Hey Dave... I use a small tripod to stabilize the HD Flip. Do you use the standard Flipshare software to edit the Flip videos, or do you use something else?

    - CD
  • I use Flipshare to get videos off the Flip, but then I use iMovie for editing.
  • That is very nice video camera. I still want to get a flip video camera. Greg Ellison
  • Looks like you are always improving your work. Thanks for the great info. I am going to try some of your video ideas shortly and hopefully I can get half the quality..
  • David,

Retweeted this. Your video was extremely helpful! The cut over comparison helped me to see the true difference of using a portable vs in place HD digital camera.

@Chuckumentary produced a video for me and it really helped me understand the impact a video can have using a high quality HD device and why I truly need a Mac to do serious video editing.

Sound, video and production can go a long way in driving a message home. Here's the video I submitted for the contest http://www.mycooprocks.coop/play.php?vid=1132

I'd love to be able to produce something like that on my own in the future.

Great post. I really appreciated you showing your different microphone solutions. The audio is actually more important than the quality of the video (HD v. standard).

Did you get the shotgun mike and the "dead cat" at Amazon as well? Are they also from Audio-Technica?

One final question, can you use two lavalier microphones and a splitter into your Canon for doing interviews? If not, how would you do a two 2 mikes interview?
  • Awesome video...

I wish there was a way to hack the flip with an external mic.
  • Thanks for this! Equipment is always so confusing. I love how you spell it out for us!
