April 2009 Blogging Income Report
The verdict is in. Last month, I asked my readers whether I should continue to post income reports. The overwhelming response was YES.
For example, Ryan said:
No don’t stop! What you may feel as bragging is what others see as inspiration! Keep it going and may success bless you and your family for what you continue to teach the rest of us.
Marvin said:
Please do keep posting these numbers as often as possible. I find it inspiring and motivational.

So, on that note, here I go. April 2009. How’d I do last month?
In total, I brought in $21,677.92 last month. That’s an increase of $439.71 over last month. I was actually a bit surprised by that as I didn’t really expect to be up for the month.
The breakdown is roughly as follows:
- Advertising: $6,858.66
- Affiliate Promotions: $3,578.72
- Book / Disc Sales: $321.06
- Membership subscriptions: $6,969.78
- 3DayMoney Clickbank Payments: $3,969.74
Now, I had several people ask about the breakdown in income between this blog and PCMech. Unfortunately, I don’t track the two blogs separately when it comes to revenue (I probably should, but I don’t). My accounts are set up in Quickbooks to be business-wide. However, the overwhelming majority of my income comes in from PCMech. Almost all of the 3DayMoney sales have been generated by DavidRisley.com however. Also, a chunk of my affiliate income (perhaps 10-15%) comes from DavidRisley.com, but that is totally an estimation on my part.
So, yes, this blog is making money even though it is a lot newer and has about 1/15th of the daily traffic of PCMech.
Oh, and if you work for the IRS, you never saw this post. You’re getting sleepy. Veeerrrrryyyy ssllleeeppppyyyyy……
