Blog + Membership Site = More Than Beer Money

There were two sessions at BlogWorld which really stood out to me as the most useful. One of them had to do with membership sites.

Now, listen to me very carefully when I say this…

Membership sites are THE BEST way to make money as a blogger.

Period. End of story. Thanks for playing.

A membership site combined with a nice blog is practically a magic pill for income. That isn’t marketing hype. It is real.

But, you’ve got to do it RIGHT.

In the above-mentioned session, the guy talked about how he built a site up from zero to over $100K PER MONTH in about 3 months.

Now, even I’m not up to that point yet, however I can tell you that one of my sites brought in $8,639.86 while I was at BlogWorld. In about 6 days. While I was in Vegas. It might not be $100K, but it is more than beer money.

This stuff WORKS.

So, it is with 100% trust and pride that I tell you about Yaro’s free report on the subject that is pretty much the best free report I have ever read about membership sites and what makes them tick.

His report is called the Membership Site Masterplan and as you would guess, it is a step-by-step guide for launching a profitable online membership site.

You can download the report from here:

Trust me. It’s good.

Now, we’re all smart people. You might guess that Yaro is leading up to something. And he is. He’s launching a training program next week and this report is designed to introduce you to his teachings. But, take my word for it. This Masterplan report is complete. It stands alone. It is not a gimmicky sales tactic. It is one of the best free reports I’ve read. He gives a lot of actionable steps.

Most bloggers dislike the idea of selling. Well, a membership site means you only have to sell once, but you get paid over and over again. And essentially, you’re getting paid to do what you already do – make good content.

His report is free.

So, go grab it. :-)

3 Day Money - Making Money Online As a ProBlogger

  • Hi David. I completely believe that membership site are the bomb-diggidy. However, what would you recommend for a relatively new blogger like myself (been at it for 6 months) who HASN'T yet released a product. Do you think a few single products might be better before jumping into a membership site?

    Thanks for everything. You rock.
  • Not necessarily. There really isn't any reason you can't launch a membership program right away. They come in different sizes and complexities, and it makes for one hell of a first product.

Could you expand on this a little more David, If you were a newbie, what sort of membership program could you launch as your first ever product?
  • Hey David, just wanted to post an update. I bit the bullet and launched a 12-week training course on my blog. I only had around 500 email subscribers, but I was able to get 50 sign-ups at $39/month for 3 months.

Thanks for making a good case for membership sites!
  • Very well done, Joe!
  • Thanks for this David.

You got that clear to me.
  • I'm joined Membership Mastermind in May, Yaro has a great community growing over there.
  • I couldn't agree more David. Lynda.com has been taking this approach for as long as I've been on the web. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the link. We have been working on plans and this is a big help!
  • I've been coming across the membership model more and more lately...you and Yaro and Darren and everybody is in on this game, and for good reason. It's leveraged, can create huge value for members, pays stable income...the benefits are huge. I think it takes some skill to pull off a membership site tactfully and successfully, but that sure is no reason to not get on the ball :)
  • yeah sounds great, but what is his blog name that makes 100k a month ?
