My Gratitude… For Them

Ending off my little mini-series on gratitude, I want to talk about my family for a bit. You can read my thoughts on gratitude, as well as my thanks… to YOU.

And, yeah, I’m a dad. So, I’m gonna brag my ass off. :)

I’m a lucky man. Here’s why…

My Gratitude…. To You

Today, I want to extend upon my post from yesterday about gratitude. Today and tomorrow, I want to do a couple of gratitude posts on the blog. Today, I’ll talk business. Tomorrow, I’ll get personal.

I find it utterly amazing to be able to do what it is that I do, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t feel gratitude for that.

Last week, I was invited to be interviewed in front of a local internet marketing group here in the Tampa area. I had around 25 people show up, some driving as much as 50 miles, just to come see me be interviewed. In the process, I had this guy raining all kinds of kudos down on me. It was weird, in all honesty.

A Word On Gratitude

This week, we celebrate Thanksgiving (at least here in the U.S.). For many, it is just a day to relax and abuse ourselves nutritionally. Others, however, remember the meaning of the day. It is…

Thanks. Giving.

A day to express thankfulness and gratitude for the people and things in our lives. It is a great concept, of course, but it has a problem… it is only one day. I strongly believe that one of the core fundamentals of true success is a routine and heartfelt expression of gratitude. It shouldn’t be just one day…. it should be a daily habit.

Even My A/C Repairman Offers A Continuity Program!

I got a little chuckle out of this. And it is an example of smart business.

The other day, we had to call an A/C company out to our house. It got cold here in Florida. Not the bone-chilling cold of a northern state, but more like the “oh, look at the cute little cold Floridian!” kind of cold. We ran the heat in the house. The problem is that it didn’t work very well. The outside unit wasn’t running, so it was running on auxillary electrical heat and just barely keeping up.

Are You Practicing “Spray And Pray” Affiliate Marketing?

Marketing things as an affiliate is obviously a good way to make money with a blog. It is WAY better than using banner ads and the income potential is far better.

That said, making good money as an affiliate is about being more strategic than simply tossing out posts promoting stuff. You’ve got to think like a marketer and that means thinking about what’s going on inside the person’s head.

Inner Circle: Open Q&A Workshop, 11/18, 3PM EST

This Thursday afternoon, I will be doing an Inner Circle workshop based solely on questions from members.

Inside the Inner Circle, I usually do at least one open Q&A call each month (may start doing a second one). This is an opportunity to ask me any question you want, get my input on a stumbling block you might be having, or even have me do a live blog evaluation for you.

Blogger Interviews Which Are Truly Useful

These days, I see a lot of blogger interviews. I get asked to be interviewed quite a bit, too. And one thing really stands out to me…

Most interviews of bloggers are incredibly unoriginal and boring.

Being on my side of the interview, I get asked the same basic questions over and over again. It is rare that I see anybody ask something truly unique. Usually, the question is asked more for me to do all the legwork and brain dump, all so that the blogger can name-drop me and hopefully get me to retweet their post. Problem is, if I keep answering the same questions, then bringing those answers to my audience is boring because they’ve heard it all before.

Product Launch Platforms To Make Your Life Easy

As a person who has been in internet business for awhile, I remember when things were hard.

I remember the days before Wordpress. I remember programming my OWN content management system to power my site. I remember having to do everything myself, or else pay some programmer who loved to make things seem like a bigger deal than they really were.

Those were the pioneer days where, well…. shit was just hard to do.

Today, we have Wordpress, with the myriad of themes and awesome plug-ins. And it keeps getting better – and easier – as now, even the process of doing a product launch is becoming SO much easier.
