Take 20 questions beforehand, and prepare an entire presentation where I do nothing but answer those 20 questions.

The questions can be anything related to blogging, social media, marketing, copywriting, videos, tech stuff – whatever.

So, I’m going to do this again. And I’m inviting you to submit a question (or more than one) to me for inclusion on the webinar. I’d ask that you include your name, your city/state, and your blog URL. If you leave me your blog URL, I just might mention it on the webinar.

Everybody likes a reason why, so here’s why I’m doing this:

1. Content creation. What better way to create a ton of targeted content than to tailor it directly to what people ask me?
2. Leverage. Last time I did this, I broke the webinar recording into multiple videos (20 of them). There’s the content. There will be videos and I’m going to have the whole thing transcribed. So, this is your opportunity to “steer the ship” and determine what kind of content you see from me for a little while.
3. Help more people. I hope you’ll spread the word about this on Facebook, Twitter, and G+. I’d like to bring more people into the community here on DavidRisley.com – obviously.

My buddy, Robb Sutton, is going to show a different angle to monetization – product reviews and recommendations. Bloggers are opinion leaders out there, and once you have yourself in that position, you can cash in on it. Robb makes a living doing it, so this is definitely one you’ll want to listen to.
• How To Build, Grow and Monetize Your Own Blogging Empire. Shane Ketterman is going to be doing a real training session here on how he went from zero to 11,000 uniques per day on his blog, and how he started making a living full-time from it in the process. Nice.

So, Are You Coming?

I think everybody should attend at LEAST one industry conference per year. It just so happens that, for what we do, Blogworld is the best game in town.

I know cost is an issue. The conference itself has a fee, but you also need to deal with hotel/flight. And rooms in Manhattan aren’t exactly cheap. But, consider this…

The ones who ultimately find success in this business are the ones with skin in the game… the ones who are willing to do the things most others are not. You’re going to find it much more difficult to get ahead in this business if you stay in the confines of your home and never get face time with the movers and shakers in the field.

So, it is worth it to come. Just make a point to get full value from the conference, leave your shy-card at the entrance and talk to people, and make a point to sit down and APPLY what you learn when you get back home.

No, not because I screwed up or anything. It’s something else…

See, this whole “make money blogging” thing has a lot of myths. People believe in these myths, and then they let them become huge limitations that lead to failure and keep you broke.

No doubt, a big part of this is due to some bullcrap internet marketers who keep trying to sell “easy buttons” to people, thereby propagating this myth that all of this can be done in no time at all, without lifting a finger. Anybody with common sense knows that isn’t true, yet it doesn’t keep people from looking, or marketers from taking advantage of it (and, often, creating it).

At the same time, you have a lot of bloggers who think they have to do the same things, in the same ways, as other successful bloggers. So, you see somebody posting on a daily basis, and you think YOU have to post on a daily basis. That just happens to be NOT TRUE.

So, I want to tackle these myths head on today. Because they get in the way. They’re useless. They’re excuses not to take action.
