Confessions of a Six Figure Professional Blogger

Secret To Maximum Blog Income And Conversion [Tactic Video]

Confession: Blogs suck at converting visitors into money.

Say what?! In this video, I explain what I mean and what you can do to get maximum benefit from the visitors who come to your blog.

NOTE: If you want to view the video much bigger, just click the full screen button on the player.

This video shares with you the simple concept of click funneling. The idea is simple:

  1. Blogs usually contain a lot of “clutter” and potential distraction and attention grabbers. So…
  2. You can get and keep a reader’s attention and maximize conversion into a subscriber or a sale by getting them OFF your blog and into a specially designed funnel (whether it be a squeeze page or a sales page, or even an article designed to sell an affiliate offer.

It is one thing to attract readers to your blog. It is another thing completely to route your readers into what you want them to do.

This video was recorded for this blog, however this strategy is only one of a large collection of marketing strategies and tactics that I will be teaching in the Blog Masters Club. I have been working VERY hard behind the scenes to create a collection of training to bring a motivated blogger into the realm of professional blogging. And in this course, I will be working with you PERSONALLY to help you do exactly that.

I will be sharing much more about Blog Masters Club in the coming days. The official launch will be on July 7th, at around 12PM EST. If you get onto the early bird list, you will have a little head start to get your “seat” in the club. I might even throw in a surprise for you. :)

If you haven’t yet downloaded your copy of the Six Figure Blogger Blueprint, go here to get your copy.

To get onto the early-bird list, go to:

That is the URL where you will be able to enroll to work with me starting on July 7th.

In the meantime, enjoy this video and please leave a comment to let me know what you thought. I literally recorded this video at my dining room table! Gotta love working from home. ;)

  • good stuff man, I def can implement this stuff on quite a few of my blogs man!

It makes a lot of sense, especially setting up a simple site to limit distractions.

    thanks bro
  • Hehe, I like the you point this out. I thought it was bad the even I sometimes find the blogs I creating confusing. Thinking about that, I can't imaging what my visitors think :)
  • David - great video and nice intro which causes some "what the heck is he doing this for" reaction within the viewer. And of course then you explain the whole distraction problem. What are you using to create your videos? Screenflow? Camtasia?
  • Chris, I'm using ScreenFlow. I am on the Mac. :)
  • Great post and video. Thanks for sharing.
  • David, thanks for this very interesting tips and nice video. Good luck..
  • Debo Hobo
I am glad you reviewed analytic, I had forgotten to update the link when I changed themes...
  • Informative Video, i like you are sharing it with out an opt in request
  • I will give you a try. Found your site thanks to John Chow
  • Hi David! I absolutely loved your video and information within it. Thank you for sharing this - I know it will help me improve my blog. I want to be a problogger and prior to watching this I began learning some of the tactics mentioned (by trial and error). I have noticed some improvements but NEEDED some more guidance on funneling traffic. This video is awesome. I love your blog and appreciate your tips.
  • Great video, I have been actually doing this type of stuff of thinking more like an internet marketer, great stuff.
  • Thank you for this great video. Very usefull for every webmaster
  • I found this video on John Chow's blog and it was really helpful. It's great that you can put out info like that for bloggers who have been struggling for over a year and still getting nowhere.
  • Its so simple but so hard to do. Cleaning our blog and be difficult if the blog has the same readers over and over.
  • Interesting post. While I use Google Analytics quite a lot I had completely forgotten about the Site Overlay function! CrazyEgg looks pretty cool also. Generally a lot of good points made in the video - far too many blogs are very cluttered. I guess it's the temptation to try some affiliate products, some banner ads, Google Adsense etc etc to see if any of it works. Unfortunately I guess by trying it all together it is likely that none of it will.
  • David,

Thanks for the google analytical tool tip. It's very helpful.

I like bloggers who post practical tips.
  • Really great video, it just added more to my already very long todo list for today, but I think it's a good thing. I've been playing around with squeeze pages but didn't really see how I could use them on my blog until now. You set off some lightbulbs in my head. Thanks
  • David, Nice clean video with value. I just started focusing on conversions rates and list building. I am trying to figure out what I can do to improve conversion rates. This was very helpful. My next steps are to actually go and to do some testing on a stand alone squeeze page vs. the opt-in on my blog which is about 2%. I will let you know how I make out. Going to try that tonight and see if the results are similar to what you posted.
  • Hi David. First time here and just wanted to say how great I thought your video was. I love talking about landing page optimization.

Very well done and thanks for the hard work.
  • David, as usual this training is very valuable. Your video really made sense and tells me I have a lot of work to do on my blog. Thanks for posting this, it's really good!
  • David that was a great video. Thanks for posting this for us. Greg Ellison
  • Thanks, David.

Excellent smarts on shifting from the 'conversation-mindset' of information booth style blogs, to a 'conVERTsation-mindset' of business based blogs seeking to convert traffic to sales.

    Cheers, Robin
  • David,
A very interesting video. Crazyegg and site overlay on Google Analytics will prove very useful.
    Cheers

  • That is one great video. Thanks for sharing, I learned something today. :)
  • David,

thanks once again, for yet another great video. These are really super teaching/learning tools that always deliver.

The analytical tools (Crazyegg/Google) are most helpful for finding out exactly what takes place with your readers.

    Overall, this was excellent.
  • Video barely loads for me... looks like you sent too many emails and the HERD is chocking S3
