Let’s Connect On Youtube

I’m not sure if you noticed, but I started doing video again. :)

I’m doing blogging advice and tips and the plan is to make them packed and to-the-point. Each video I do is sent out across several video sites (using TubeMogul) while I’m also posting it to my Facebook page.

I’m trying something a little different, though. I’m NOT embedding all of my videos on this blog. From time to time, I will (as I’m doing below), however I’m specifically making my videos exclusive to their respective channels. So, for that reason, I am inviting you to subscribe to my Youtube channel and connect with me on Facebook. I’ll also announce my videos on Twitter, obviously. But, if you want to stay tuned to these videos, you’ll need to connect with me over there because I’m not going to embed all my videos here on this blog.

Here’s the video I posted today:

You can also catch the video I did on Wednesday, entitled Bloggers, You Need A Product!

So, go to my Youtube Channel and subscribe. Here’s how:

Alright, then. See ya over there. :)

That's an awesome tip, David, I just finished my own report and placed it on my webform, and I thought that's it !

I think this is a good decision not to embed all of your videos here on your blog. I'll subscribe to your YouTube Channel since I'm not that huge fan of facebook.

Sorry for this really short comment. It's actually not the way I leave comments, but I think you could forgive me ;) I promise to leave better comments in the future.

    Hi David,

Thanks for providing awareness about your Youtube. I didn't know you were doing videos, but I just found out about you last week… so… yeah I know, what rock was I under… lol. But I'm glad to know you are doing Youtube, I just subscribed to you there as well.

I love the tips you shared in the video. I am currently working on implementing a newsletter signup on my blog, so I really valued the tips you shared in the video. Thanks for sharing!!

David, Happy about again you started to do vlog as I do. Your tip about having own is good for bloggers. This is what I realized before few weeks. Currently I am preparing the product. Hope it will come in next couple months.

I only just released my “free report” and added an image to my opt in, I am missing the ad copy so will work on that today, thanks David!

I especially like the point about taking your list of topics and creating interesting questions to invite visitors to sign up to your email list. I also agree that adding a sense of mystery makes it more appealing to readers.

I loved the videos and subscribed! I can't wait to see what other stuff you have coming up. I'm with @julius about the creating ways to invite visitors to sign up/subscribe. That's one of my biggest hurdles as of late.

Is there a downside to embedding your videos in your blog?

I hear competing philosophies … one is to optimize around a channel, and stick something in one place, and make people go to it. The other is to duplicate / replicate to each channel, and let people use the channel they prefer to experience it.

Are there any real downsides, or is it more just a personal preference, and an efficiency thing … or is it more about the experience?

Probably uploading a video to a blog would lessen the bandwidth speed and hence, slows down visitor's browser loading page. It's just a guess but I think Dave may have a point in putting his content in their specific places. Facebook is Facebook, Youtube is Youtube, WordPress is WordPress. :)
