A Powerful Tactic For Your Success Is…

Warning: The following advice is going to seem obvious. You may react by thinking I’m stating the obvious. And you’re right. That said, an extremely high percentage of people who want to make good money online fail to apply this tactic. Knowing it and doing it are two different things.

Are you ready?

The tactic is this:

Take Bold, Aggressive ACTION and do it REGULARLY.

Is this a tactic? For some it is because they don’t actually do it now.

The biggest changes in your life, the things that you will look back on and say “Wow, I’m glad I did that.”…these things are going to start with taking a bold and aggressive action to make something happen.

There are three rules of life that I believe strongly:

  1. Often, the best move you can make is the one which seems least comfortable.
  2. If you are too comfortable in your life, you’re doing something wrong.
  3. If you feel like you’re overwhelmed, take on something new. As counter-intuitive as that may be, you will adapt to the higher activity level and, pretty soon, what you used to be overwhelmed with will seem normal.

I am now married to my beautiful wife, Malika. I’m glad I am married and I have a beautiful little girl. But, rewind life by about 5 years and look at what actually started this. I had to take a bold, aggressive action. I had to overcome my nervousness with women to ask Malika out on the first date. I had to force myself into the dating scene (I spent several years comfortably single before then). The comfortable thing to do would have been to maintain my status quo. I was happy. I was just fine. But, I had to introduce some discomfort into my life to make a change. And, at the time, the idea of meeting women made me rather nervous. Especially a woman like Malika who I thought was out of my league completely. :)

Bold, aggressive actions are what get you places. And the same philosophy carries forward into internet business. If you want to make money on the Internet, via a blog or otherwise, you’re going to need to take aggressive action to make it happen. What those actions might be depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. However, you take your goal and you work it backwards. If an action seems too big to accomplish in a specific timeframe, then break it down into smaller actions which will add up to the larger one.

One you’ve got yourself an action plan, start. Actually start!

Some of the most successful people actually PLAN bold, aggressive action into their weeks. We’re not talking simple actions like “call Bill”. We’re talking a big action that points you toward your goal and might actually be a bit uncomfortable for you to do.

In the later portions of 2008, and certainly moving forward in 2009, I have some big plans. I will be moving forward with bold, aggressive actions to make it happen. Even if it is a bit uncomfortable and perhaps stressing at the beginning, follow through will lead me to what I’m after.

So, what bold, aggressive actions do you need to make? Any plans to do them? Please post a comment and let me know.

good point, there are a lot of talkers out there but not so many do-ers that actually follow up on their plans.

It’s amazing just how right you are, but just how much that won’t hit home to a lot of people. Taking action is THE ONLY true way to succeed. It’s why a LOT of dumb people have achieved incredible financial success and why smart PHD-type’s are often broke.

Well said David and I hope people “truly” get it. MASSIVE ACTION = MASSIVE SUCCESS!

It all starts with believing in yourself. It’s difficult to overcome that little voice inside you saying “you can’t do that”. Smashing that voice of uncertainty into tiny pieces will be uncomfortable but it must be done to succeed.

See yourself being successful, put an action plan in place and keep pushing.

what bold, aggressive actions do you need to make is to find what should i make with bold, aggressive actions. To bring my life to the next level.. but i think of that for many years.. but nothing happen just same old izzat aziz.

Very true stuff. And what is amazing is that when you actually do something that at one time seemed nearly insurmountable, it seems to go over like a well oiled machine in most cases.

Sometimes just taking any action, but doing it consistently can be enough. Most people don’t want to move outside their comfort levels, and as such never take the actions necessary to make them successful. Just doing something, each day, to get closer to a goal can be enough.

Agreed with many here, but also focus and a good game plan. Many of us can take action, but it may create a cyclical effect and we are getting no where fast. “Directed Action” with a game plan/biz plan is a must!

Thanks for this post, this is, believe it or not, some of the best advice I’ve received in a while. Thinking back, a lot of things I’ve accomplished, that are now part of my normal life, were indeed started through ‘aggressive action’ – like my server, for example.

As always, awesome post, keep it up. ;)

Simple, but powerful! I’ve been “going to make money” with my blog/website for over a year. Now that I’m about to be laid off it may be time to ACT!

I’ve struggled with how to provide good content, have affiliates and adsense, and not seem spammy. I almost feel guilty having adsense on my site because as a blog reader I go to a site and say, well he just made half a cent off of me.

What is amazing though is your site has 0 adsense blocks and very few affiliates. Truly a testament to your content quality.

Jesse: Thanks, you’ve given me an idea for another post. :-)

I do run Adsense on PCMech.com (my largest blog) along with other things. But, the notion of blogger guilt is definitely something worth talking about. A lot of bloggers feel that way.
