2000 is a huge number! I used to think that they have many followers, but that number far exceeds my prediction. Twitter has proved itself good for internet marketers, really. Having valid and updated information is a must for anybody and everybody in the business.

I am not sure how anyone could expect twitter to be any different than any other social media network. The 2000 to follow limit seams like a fair number to me,and I would never expect to hit near that,with or without affiliate marketing.

Hey David, informative post. I was looking for the answer to this question. Am new to twitter, and was wondering why people kept following me. I figured it was because I was following some top internet marketing guys and so they found me that way. I also realized quickly enough (as you said), that the tactic is to get a person to follow back, and then show them a “thank you for following me free product”.
