So, you told me why you blog. Now, I’ll tell you why I do it.

  • Because I like to help people.
  • Because the idea of working a 9-to-5 in a cubicle somewhere makes me want to stick a fork in my eye and twist.
  • Because I have things to say.
  • Because I feel bloggers are helping people constantly every day with their content… and they should be able to make money doing it if they want to. They deserve it.
  • Because I can make a living doing something I enjoy.
  • Because I like to be in control of my own time and not be forced to be somewhere I don’t want to be.
  • Because I enjoy being able to help and influence people while being able to work from home.
  • Because I like being flexible and being able to adapt to change.
  • Because I like being able to give myself a pay raise without having to beg anybody.
  • Because I can spend time with these little guys…

    Hi David,

    This is awesome. Reading the reasons why you blog, I find all the reasons why I am blogging as well. Although, I am not making any money blogging (at least not any money to talk about). The number one reason why I am blogging is that I like helping people and meeting new people. Blogging is a great way to do this.

    And of course, blogging is also a brilliant learning tool. I’m learning things every single day from blogging and connecting with other bloggers.

    I wonder if anyone has ever noticed the extremely small smiley face image in the very bottom left corner of this blog… hmm I thought it was kind of enlightening to find myself.. kind of like getting a toy from a cereal box!

    Anyways, I love your blog. There’s a good reason why you make a full time income, and that’s because you know what you’re doing! You’ve got a beautiful family. I have a daughter myself, who is also a future blogger :)

    Anyways, I’ll be back for more, your blog is really enjoyable to read. Keep it coming!

    Oh yeah, I meant to ask… is there like a prize or something for discovering the smiley face? Like an unannounced contest or something to see who’s more aware?? Lol I had to ask, but I’m not sure I’m serious.

    I use to get paid 4 what I write,I didnt likt it at all but few days ago
